Here's how the Bible shares the Good News:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Romans 3:23 "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..."

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

1 Corinthians 15:3,4 "...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day..."

Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

A Prayer of Faith, expressing the desire of a desperate heart...

Lord Jesus, I come to you by faith.

I realize that because of my sin, I am spiritually dead, unclean, blind, in bondage and lost. I am more sinful and separated from God than I ever before imagined.

But I believe that your death on the cross demonstrates your compassion. I am more loved by you than I ever dared hope. Thank you for living the life that I should be living and dying the death that I deserve.

By faith, I turn away from myself and my sin toward you. By faith, I receive what I really need, forgiveness of my sins and new life in you. Heal and change my life. Amen.
